This layout was pretty fun to race on. Now if I could go a full race without making a few small mistakes that would lose me the draft. Also Jason getting yeeted over the pit wall during his celebration donuts 😂

Even though I drove an awful race, I used my dry setup which made for a lot of scary moments but by golly it was fun as can be out there in the wet!

It'd be a waste of time submitting an official race protest for that bump by Dorsey. "Please refer to sporting code..."

I wonder how many of these guys use VR.

Massive skill issues for me at the end of the SRF race. Was trying to get the side draft from Bobby and completely misjudged it. 100% my fault. Apologies to Bobby for costing him the win.

.076! Whew that was a close finish. I knew coming up to the Lemans Chicane I was a sitting duck. Used my best NASCAR Draft Masters experience trying to split the draft between Bobby and Jesus. I was going to go for the apron but I saw Jason with the afterburners on and had to stay in the middle to block his advance forward. If there's one thing I need to do better is to stop making mistakes. I threw away a good lead in both races with mistakes that brought me back to the pack. Was very lucky to win the SRF race tbh! I gave up about 5 seconds of time due to 3 big mistakes after pitting.

1:41:10 - the rules tab here specifies this curb uses the 4 wheels off system. Annoyingly, the curb on the way into the chicane uses the centerline system on the grass boundary. Rivard knew he wasn't getting a slowdown doing this.

That was a very fun race to watch. Draft tracks are very anxiety inducing on the track but it does put on a great show!

I typically struggle at ViR but I do have to say that by the end of the race I was really enjoying this layout! The infield section adds a lot of difficulty to the track.

after watching real sr10 onboards I realized the slipstream is actually well recreated in the simulator, although it seems really awkward 😆

The FF and FB races were intense! I've never driven the legacy Miata but the fact that it has a manual transmission makes it a winner in my book. The cars look like an absolute hoot and a half to drive. I definitely need to try and use a vacation day to show up for the last race of the season!

SCCA being the theme, this Mazda MX-5 is more real world as it is the basis for the SCCA SMX Spec MX-5 class. The Global Spec MX-5 that is the current iRacing MX-5 is more of a pro racing car. "Spec Miata" is even the older Mazda MX-5 Miata, I think that SCCA and NASA (and probably others) throw the first two generations in SM Spec Miata.

Was great getting to participate today. This was my first scheduled day off where I didn't have to use a vacation day to be off since my shift change back in February! No better way to spend a day off than in a Weekend Warriors League race! I definitely had a lot of rust to knock off but it was a lot of fun being back on track again 😊

AI whipping up 800 tracks would be amazing if they were up to scratch. Imagine a championship where a new track is generated each week and everyone has to learn it in a few days. That would be amazing.
